Even wierder is that on the tire it says: "Recommended use" and a picture of a crossection of a rim where it says 21 (4) and something in between wich I cant make out I am guessing a +. Keep in mind my front dhf tire has worked flawlessly and that should be bigger according to the inches measurement. This makes it wierd as according to the mm measurements the tires should fit my rim but according to the inches they are too big. So they basicly don't exist acoording to maxxis. But it didn't say they were wide trails on the tires, on the packaging or when I ordered them. What is even wierder is that if you check maxxis website the tires that match my size both are wide trail tires. However when I measued both tires with calipers the mm measurements on the dhf was correct and the dhr II was the same as the dhf. But the dhr II milimeter measurements matched with the inches at 61mm being 2.4 inches. In millimeter they are 50-55 wich would tranlate to around 2.21 inches. The wierd thing is the mm measurments on both my new and old dhf doesen't match the inches measurement. But after my rear tire has come off twice mid run I boiled it down to the size of the tire that was the issue. My old tires were 26x2.5 maxxis minion dhf both front and rear on my 23mm rim and this time I decided to go with a 2.5 dhf in the front and a 2.4 dhr II in the rear. So I bought some new tires for my downhill bike. " Every cyclist has something to teach and something to learn."
